Sky Q main box will not connect to sky router

We have a hard wired connection between our router and main sky Q box. Having reset h to e router the Q box will not connect despite it being hard wired. Have tried to wing connect as well but no joy. 
have reset both router and Q box a few times today. Had it working for a couple of hours but then it dropped out again and now will not reconnect

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Colin233 check the cable as they are easy to damage. Ethernet should not require any set-up on either the hub or the Q box it should just work.
