Sky Q and Changing Broadband Supplier

I currently use sky broadband with sky Q but looking to change broadband supplier. To make the change easy I was thinking of keeping the sky Router and ethernet connect it to a new supplier router back to back, thereby keeping the WiFi unchanged.

Will this approach work ?

@MartinBB

Depending on which Sky hub you have, you will need to return it to Sky at the termination of your subscription. It's only loaned to you.

No as the hubs are loaned to you are need to be returned and also the settings are hard coded into it for your connection so I'm not sure they can be accessed to change for use with a different supplier.

@MartinBB Sky hubs will only connect to a Sky broadband service so even if you kept the hub your idea wont work.

@MartinBB You can always set your new router's name and password to match your previous Sky router and then all devices will connect automatically. You don't need to worry about a setup like this.

So renamig a new router seems to be the simple approach or even negotiate a better deal.
