Sky Hub keeps rebooting. Replacement hub is doing exactly the same :-(

I have had trouble free superfast broadband for about 5 months. Previously there were issues but Openreach changed the card int eh exchange and its been brill, until last week.  Hub keeps re-booting, only 2 or 3 times a day but its a full re-boot, all lights off, one red light, various orange lights and then slowly back on.  Speed is fine until the re-boot and then fine again after until the next time.  I have received a repalcement hub and power supply.  Tried a different socket, tried differnt cables.  I only had 2 or 3 things hard wired to it tonight, no wifi items at all, and it still re-set at just the wrong time whilst playing a Steam game.   It cut off this moring during a work video call too and yesterday the wifi idropped too.  The new hub is only 36 hours old....  Its getting very frustrating.   The Sky employee I spoke to said that there wasnt anythig they could do as I must have too many wifi devices connected, which I dont.  I think it was beyond his technical level to be honest as he didnt seem interested in looking at any logs or anything.  Im considering trying an Asus router but that is £200+ I dont want to speand when i am already paying Sky enough.  Any ideas please?  Thanks

Re: Sky Hub keeps rebooting. Replacement hub is doing exactly the same :-(

I have Sky Q and mini boxes, all eco settings are off.    The power supply is plugged into a quality Belkin surge protector.   There is noting set to turn off at the same timet eh router goes off (no smart home / smart light interference).    Obviously I cant run the Sky tests on teh App or my PC when teh internet goes down but I have zero speed issues and it sat consistntly at 62.9Mpbs for weeks before the router was changed and now its still at that speed but I only have 2 entries.     Could it be a second faulty router??

Re: Sky Hub keeps rebooting. Replacement hub is doing exactly the same :-(

I'm having exactly the same issue.

My orginal hub kept doing this, so I had a Sky engineer visit on Monday of this week.  He swapped the router out for a new one of the same type.

We are now Friday and it's started happening again.

Rang Sky again and they are sending me yet another router.  Why should this one be any different to the one I got on Monday?

The logs on the router always show the same after a reboot:

Re: Sky Hub keeps rebooting. Replacement hub is doing exactly the same :-(

I gave up and got a tplink deco mesh router and system.. never had a problem since. Sky kit is very poor and can't cope with lots of WiFi devices

I didn't realise you could connect 3rd party routers directly to a Sky ADSL line

Works faultlessly with 70 devices, set up wizard does it all. No more issues. £99 on Amazon. Grow and expand with more mesh units.
