Sky Hub SR203 not connecting to Openreach ONT – no LAN light

Hi there,

I’m having trouble getting my Sky Broadband Hub SR203 to connect using the Openreach ONT installed in the property.

 

Here’s what I’ve tried:

 

  • The ONT is powered, and the PON light is solid green, which I believe means the fibre line is active.
  • I’ve connected an Ethernet cable from the ONT’s LAN port to the Sky Hub’s WAN port (the one marked in pink).
  • I’ve restarted both devices, waiting 30 seconds in between.
  • I’ve tried multiple Ethernet cables to rule out any fault.
  • I’ve double-checked the ports — it’s definitely going from the ONT’s LAN to the router’s WAN.

 

 

Despite all this, the LAN light on the ONT never turns on, and my Sky Hub isn’t establishing a connection.

 

Can someone confirm if:

 

  1. My service is fully activated and ready to use?
  2. There’s anything else I should be doing?

@Kyle_Campbell Is this a new installation off full fibre from today?

 

You can also have a look at this link, have you ever web connected to the SR203 before and set for DSL only perhaps. Lan light on the ONT may only give you a very quick flicker and very low intensity off light so do look very closely to see if you get that!
