Sky Hub Firmware

I am wondering if and when my router will get the .203 update, it still is on the .201 update and didn't bother updating to the .301 version. Is this because the update was pulled?? I'm wondering when my router will update itself.

Also I am extremely happy with the speeds, for around 67 megabytes on the throughout we get around 60 megabytes, is that about right the throughout for my speeds??

I am still on 201.r  as well and from what i hear .301.r was causing issues

60Mbps on a 67Mbps line (which looks as you can get) is very good on wifi

Channel 3 is a 2.4ghz wifi channel so can be slower (as slow as 50% ) than 5 ghz wifi which normally is 80-90% of your line speed whilst ethernet can be 90-95% so at the minute probably not much incentive to us ethernet.

You could try seperating wifi bands and allocate you faster devices to -5ghz to see if that makes a difference

Ok, so are you saying I should try a different channel, as well?? What channel should I try, when I try it 3 seems to give best results

On 2.4 ghz your channel should change according to what other ssids are within reception area of you own hub so best to keep it at automatic. I am suggesting if you have a dual band router to make use of the 5ghz  band for smart tvs, streaming sticks, gaming consoles, pc's and laptops etc and keep the 2.4ghz for mobile devices, video doorbells, smart plugs etc

In your original post you said you are extremely happy with the WiFi speeds so my advice would be dont fix what isnt broken. Your Sky hub automatically switches WiFi channels when it thinks its required and if you are getting 60mbps over WiFi on a 67mbps connection that is very good and I would leave the Sky hub to automatically manage your WiFi channels.
