The latest sky max hub has the latest WiFi 6 technology. If your devices are WiFi 6 compatible, you will see an improvement.
If your devices are not WiFi 6 compatible, you won't benefit at all. Some have said the signal is weaker on non WiFi 6 devices.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Bill1212 the Sky engineer will test signal levels in your home and hopefully should be able to help. In particular advising on pkacement of your hub which can have a great impact on wifi coverage.
The main gain of the new white Sky Max hub is not its WiFi6 spec but its ability to work with extenders if you buy Sky's Wifi Max bundle. These extenders and the hub work together to create a triband mesh network improving WiFi coversge in your home. On its own the new unit does not have greater range indeed as it uses higher frequency channels which have suffer greater loss when passing through solid walls in some homes it can have less range than the older black hub. However the system is less likely to be affected by interference.
