I just had Sky GigaFast installed in my 3-storey townhouse.
The wired ehternet connection is fine at 850-950mb down / 100mb up
But the WIFI is as low as 50-100 mb upstairs... which is a huge drop from the top speed of 900mb
We got 50-100mb upstairs with BT Broadband on their 150mb speed package, so to get same here with Sky Gigafast is disappointing.
We use a PC and other Internet connected devices such as Xbox on the top floor, so speed is important
I thought Sky Q mesh via the mini-boxes automatically covered whole house, but it doesn't seem to be working or not working that well?
Should i contact Sky? Would they provide any free Sky extenders if im also paying for Sky Boost for the broadband?

The Sky mesh system is designed to provide coverage over speed, the more nodes you have the more of a speed loss you will see. 100mbps upstairs from the router is a good speed and certainly would not be seen by Sky as a fault/problem. You'd need to look at getting a 3rd party router for increased performance.
Additionally, Ultrafast is designed to serve many devices UHD streaming speeds, not to provide a single device with 100+mbps.

You'd need WiFi 6 hardware (and client devices) to shift anything like the wired speed of gigabit FTTP and neither Sky or BT currently has 802.11ax routers or boosters: they just can't source manufacturing in the scale they require.

Thanks for the advice
Can you recommend any decent WIFI 6 routers that work with Sky GigaFast?
What's the best on the market that would be compatible?
