Sky FTTC broadband with TPLINK Archer VR600 no internet connection

Hi,

I have now broadband fibre FTTC and initially replaced the now broadband router with the sky SR203 wihtout issue.  Now i have an TP-link Archer VR600 and i have been trying to set it up as per the instruction on this site and TP-Links site but am getting no internet connection.

I have updated the firmware to the latest from the TPlink site but this does not help.

The step i follow are:

  1. Perform a hard resert of the VR600
  2. connect the DSL connection to the BT socket
  3. Start the router
  4. Connect my mobile to the wifi from the VR600 and go to (Removed)
  5. From the IP List select (Removed)
  6. Username: (Removed)
  7. Password: (Removed)

I use my mobile to connect as i do not have a laptop,  I have a PC but its in another room.  I guess mobile via wifi should work?

I have also tried the username (Removed)   but that doesn't work either.

Attached is an image of network page post using the quick setup with the above steps

Below is the image of network map page where this is no internet connection.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

AFAIK that router does not support DHCP Option 61 which is required for Sky VDSL authentication.

You would have to use DHCP PD via IPv6.
