Sky/City Fibre

Ordered Full Fibre on 13/06/2025. Installation booked for 20/06/2025. Engineers arrived on time but over 6 hours later Full Fibre not Installed.

Manager arrived and promised to get everything fixed by Monday 23/06/2025. No contact by late on 23/06/2025. so phoned SKY. First operative did not have a clue. Second operative immediately told me that the last operative had cancelled the installation despite me not saying that. Third operative helpfully reordered the Full Fibre package and negotiated a new price taking account of the difficulties i had had.

The new installation was booked for 03/07/2025. No engineer , no communication from either SKY or City Fibre on 03/07/2025. Phoned late on 03/07/2025 to be told that the RECOVERY Team would pick it up and not to worry. No word by 09,07/2025 so phoned SKY. Operative raised a REFERRAL. He came back quickly to inform me that SKY and City Fibre had been sending messages to one another but they were deaf to one another. The issue is in the hands of the Recovery Team.

SKY charged me way over my negotiated bill .

I am still waiting for someone to get back to me and sort this out.

@Codfather Are you looking for input on it or just letting the Forum know, all the CF install is new even to Forum members, and like OR install's some just do not go smooth in the slightest, only sky can advise and looks like they have about as much a clue as you about what is going on. As long as sky gave you an activation date, at least you may get some compensation although that does not help you much!
