Sky Broadband with Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine Pro

Hi,

Recently moved from a copper BT to FTTP via Openreach with Sky.

Have Ubiquiti Unifi Dream Machine Pro, access points, POE switches and cameras so am pretty invested in UNIFI.

It appears I can not set the sky hub to router-only mode and am unsure of which modem I could replace it with (dont need any wifi from the router).

If anybody could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated.

I think I have almost reached the limit of my DIY tinkering but feel I may just be able to get this completed.

Thanks in advance

@Whatever71 you dont need a modem as the Openreach  ONT fulfills that function on FTTP installs. Unifi kit is not the most user friendly but in essence you need to configure the router to use DHCPv4 Option 61 to authenticate the connection you need a string to connect in the form as follows

            anything@skydsl|anything

You maybe lucky to be able to use DHCPv6 PD but that doesn't work on every line. If you use the forum search you will find threads from users who have tried the same thing before.

Alternatively you can ser up your kit behind tge Sky hub in a Double NAT set up which keeps the Sky voice line you lose if you remove the Sky hub.
