Sky Broadband tests say everything's fine but independent speed tests are much slower

This evening our internet speed has dropped significantly and independent tests by fast.com and speedtest.net both confirm this however when I run the SKy broadband tests they say everything is fine including wifi? What's going on? I clearly have an issue but Sky says not ---

 

We have Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1 where we get 151 mbs but at the moment its running between 30 and 40

I am having same problem. Router downstream is as normal (34 mbps) but only receiving 8mbps at TVs phones etc. Maybe its a national issue.

@arthur64 & @patterdale2009 if you want help please start your own thread posting details of your problem and your hub's stats if the hub is connected.If it isnt click to run the connection test in the My Sky app on a mobile connection. Ignore the result of the lastvroutine test which orobably tell you everything is fine click to run it now as it will tell you if Sky are aware of an issue in your area. If they are not call them in the. Morning if the service is still down.

 

 

Very unlikely there is a national issue however with well over 6 million customers inevitably a numbercof lines will have issues at any time the causes are likely to bectotally different See Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

I've followed those instructions but there is no show statistics option under maintenance hence the screenshot share?

@lash123 if the link is not showing you can try a different browser or disable any pop-up blockers you use.

 

However rather then messing around you might want to call Sky as they can access the data from their end. If you are on full fibre it is unlikely its a line issue as fibre either works or it doesnt but if your Ultrafast connection uses G.Fast over a copper phoneline the problem could be a line fault.
