When will Sky broadband be available nationaly via the openreach network?
Ive helped a few people mostly elderly people out with their broadband - they were paying extremly high out of contract prices.
However the sign up/check availability for Sky always ends with this message, regardless of web browser used and connection
"
Technical error
It’s not you, it’s us. Try refreshing the page. Or use the link below to start again"
The sign up process works fine for plusnet, as it does for Now, EE, and Talk Talk its just Sky always brings up this technical error page .
As a result of this technical error message i have helped a few( mostly) older people move to other ISPs .
As for myslef, I am with Now for a few more months and i am also shopping around, was looking at Sky but the error message persists , so Im guessing that Sky is only available in certain areas of major cities?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@2pints. No one on the forum would know of Sky plans for any expansion. They are pretty much available in most areas right now.
If you can't place an order online have you tried calling? You may even get a better deal.
You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.
If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.
Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

No, Sky broadband is widely available. If you can't get last the error, give Sky a call.

No, Sky broadband is widely available.
Although not everywhere: the nearest exchange to us with a Sky presence is twenty miles away.

Most of it is looking for deals, and seeing what services are available, and taking the plunge from the results of looking around
I could use the call centre but i find then to be a complete pain in the rear, even more so if it's just seeing what is available, and at what price.
The odd thing is that, for me, I am currently with Now broadband, a subsidory of Sky, and I get the same error.
The only thing I can think of is that Sky broadband is no longer available from my exchange
