Sky Broadband hub to BT socket extension cable.

I've seen other posts on this, seemingly, simple query but the answers don;t make any sense.

 I need an extension cable from the bt socket to the hub. The cable is grey and the purple sky hb connector is small, I'm guessing an RJ-11(?)

 There are lots on amazon but I need to know which will work. A straight BT to RJ-11 5m or and RJ-11-RJ11 and a filter to the socket?

 Any help before I buy too many unnecessary cables would be most apprecitated.

It is a dsl r11 to rj11 cable as shown below

Does the phone plug into a different socket on the same mastersocket or into the back of the hub?

Do you want to move the router further from the mastersocket or the phone as well?

If you just want to move the router further from the mastersocket or simply just want to replace it then you would just need an appropriate length of dsl rj11 to rj11 cable

Hello.

There's no phone going into the hub. I'm not going to use one.

 There's just the new openreach box with one socket. The white BT end of the grey cable is plugged into that, the RJ-11 purple end into the hub. An RJ-11 wouldn't plug into the BT box, would it?

If the bt mastersocket only has the telephone port then you would need a broadband splitter/microfilter. You only need a new cable to extend the distance your hub is from the mastersocket
