@katykaty are you using a mobile connection to run the service checker? The primary information it can give you is whether Sky know about an outage affecting your line if it doesn't give them a call lines to report thecfault should be open now.

I trust all affected Sky customers will be receiving a huge refund?! And an apology! Trading standards might be getting a lot of phone calls

@CheekyCharlie

It's not what you want to hear but …

In the UK two WORKING days is the service level agreement between ISP’s and Openreach for fixing a fault.

The below link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk for UK customers.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation

If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when Sky are notified of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day). There is no equivalent scheme in place for customers in the Republic of Ireland.

As Sky broadband discussed here is a domestic set up there is no extra or quicker support for those working from home.

Just checked. Now saying outage in the area could take a couple of days to fix. But might be sooner.

Probably not what you want to hear...

hopefully for you all, this is just an outage for your particular area, which will be resolved.

however, back in October I upgraded to fibre500. It worked for 2 days and then stopped. Was without internet for OVER a WEEK!! After two engineer visits and hours on the phone, I gave up.

ended up switching to Virgin, and have genuinely had no trouble since!

I think the white boxes/routers are new... I was told that there is a problem with these new routers. But again, that's just an educated guess!

hope it's sorted soon for you all.

No Internet in Fraddon, app says there's no issue. Clearly there is and they need to sort it out.

Went down last night about 2230, the whole house works off the internet, and I can't get any work done.

Can't even watch TV because I got Sky Glass. Jeezaz man!

Re: Sky Broadband gone down in Cornwall, PL24

Can anyone help on how yo report a problem? Service checker is unavailable. Online virtual assistant is useless, just goes around the same loop. There seems to be no option to report a fault!
