I had a letter from Sky telling me that my Sky Broadband and talk will be switched off on 21st August due to it being delivered by the old copper network, and that i would need to upgrade. I telephoned Sky and after a conversation I was advised to upgrade to Ultrafast, I currently have Superfast. They arranged an engineer visit. The Outreach engineer came and after checking my set up, my master socket is in a cupboard at the entrance to my flat. My router is in my living room at the rear of my flat. He told me it was not possibe to install as I would need to plug my router into the Master Socket. He ten said what Sky had told me was wrong that I just needed Digital Voice and he telephoned Sky and told them the outcome. I hve not been told by Sky what they are going to do about it yet and thy have not cancelled my order, although I phoed them and told them what had happened. Can anyone clarify the situation, as I am totally dependant on my broadband, being housebound.
