I've recently started using a VPN for work related websites and can not connect via my home broadband at all, but i can if i hotspot through my phone.
I'm sure i wont be the first to have encountered this problem, but i cant ask works IT team as I'm self employed so that team is essentially me.
Anything Sky would do to restrict a VPN, or are there any settings I can manage on my router for example?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Gary1234567890gaz Are you able to tell us what your broadband shield setting is set to. This can be found by logging into your account and going to the broadband & talk tab and scrolling down till you find broadband shield.

Find out more@Highlinder given the SBS setting posted was 18 it is unlikely to be the issue given the vast majority of private VPNs work without issue there could be a config issue. One issue seen in the past is where the VPN is set to use the 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 address space which of course causes issues.

Same thing has happened to me today with GlobalProtect VPN. Having to use my hotspot.

I'm having an issue today - connect to work through VPN - fine last night 2200 when I ifnished - started today at 0700 and it won;t connect but will through my mobile phone hotspot - have reset router, checked BB shield etc. but no resolve - is anyone else having the same problem?
