Sky Broadband New Customer Voucher

Hi all,

I bought my Sky Broadband package on the 3rd April, was confirmed it would be activated on the 22nd April. Had ongoing issues with openreach and broadband didn't get activated until today 28th May when sky escalated a complaint with openreach.

I was supposed to get a £50 voucher with the broadband package I purchased but haven't had any correspondence with voucher code? Do you get sent voucher code once Broadband goes active? Maybe why I haven't recieved anything yet as it has only gone active today? I tried inputting my account number but it said invalid code; I hope I haven't missed my chance to redeem.

Also would like to ask, does anyone know how the compensation scheme works? Sky was aware of the issue and my broadband was activated 36 days later than promised, I have read that it is automatically credited to your account, but cannot see any credit on my account, does this appear in the coming days?

Done as much research as I can including looking on the forum but just those couple of questions to clear up. Thanks!

Hi @Heather241

Was the voucher through a 3rd party? Usually it has to be claimed through them, not Sky.

As for compensation, yes you should be entitled to the delayed provisioning compensation of £6..10 per day. You may need to call Sky to get this credited

Re: Sky Broadband New Customer Voucher

Hi @jamesn123

I purchased the broadband package over the phone via third party company as far as I'm aware; I was in process of moving property and so the company rightmove had contacted me about broadband services - do you think I should call them and ask about redeeming the voucher?

Thanks for your help; I'll call Sky to make sure that is credited to my account.

Thanks again

Yes you will likely need to contact them and ask what the process is to claim the voucher
