Switched from TalkTalk to Sky today and as I already had a working Eero network for our large bungalow needed to disable the Sky router wifi and just have the Eero network to avoid any possible conflicts. Also have Sky Q but the wifi on that was disabled months ago when I installed the Eero network (no mutiscreen devices) and hard wired into an Eero.
So after installing the Sky router and proving the internet connection was up and running. I then hardwired in the first Eero (set to bridge mode to avoid DNS issues) and connected the rest no problem. Eero mesh network back up and running using our old SSID so devices just connect automatically again.
Then logged onto the Sky router and disabled both 2.4 an 5 Ghz wifi and performed a reboot from the router menu. Wifi light went out but still seeing the Sky SSID and able to connect any device to it !!!
I have tried hard re-booting the Sky Router three times (power off leave a few minutes and power back on) but to no avail, phone, laptop etc. can still see the Sky Router SSID and connect using the password provided.
What am I missing here ?
Thanks in advance.

@icesteelman Just switch off one device at a time then check what ssid is being sent out, that is the HUB, the Q and ANY booster / mini or device that you have for extending the signal! Once they are all off, you will know which one is causing it!

Re: Sky Broadband Hub wifi still working even though disabled
I am having the same problem - I think. All showing good signal on tests but no sky tv channels, no Netflix or prime etc. turned everything off and on several times. Put light very dim . No WiFi on our phones either.

Re: Sky Broadband Hub wifi still working even though disabled
Thanks for the reply. Pretty sure it's the Sky Broadband Router/Hub but will try and check tomorrow by switching it off. Will also check the Sky Q box settings to see if they have changed at all.
We have no other Sky boxes so it has to be one of them.
Cheers

Re: Sky Broadband Hub wifi still working even though disabled
Hi @Sued3
Different issue I think, I want my Sky Wi-Fi off as I have my Eero mesh network instead of using the Sky Wi-Fi.
Not sure what's wrong with your routers Wi-Fi but expect someone on here could help you if you post a new discussion asking for help
cheers

Re: Sky Broadband Hub wifi still working even though disabled
Hi @JimM1
You're suggestion triggered a thought, checked the Sky Q box and yes the mesh Wi-Fi had magically re-enabled itself (I guess whilst I had my Eero network down and the new Sky Router Installed as I have now read these boxes default to Wi-Fi if the current internet connection goes down for any length of time ).
Disabled both frequencies and voila the Sky Wi-Fi has gone and all is good !
cheers
