Sky Broadband Booster

Hi,

I've had Sky Q with mini boxes and used a Sky Broadband Booster for the last 2 years. 

I've recently switched my broadband provider and kept Sky TV. 

I've set up the booster and the Sky Q and mini boxes work fine but when I'm trying to connect other devices to the booster, it's not happening automatically. There is an option to connect to a sky device but no passwords work; old Sky password, new ISP wifi password, pin from back of booster. Just says the network is temporarily unavailable.

Sky boosters are not compatible with other ISP routers, only other Sky hardware so you wont be able to connect your personal devices to it.

Before you do that, if you have a Sky Q box near where you want the booster anyway you could enable the setting on it which allows for your devices to connect to the Q gear as a booster. Its under Settings > Network

That would be great! There's no option for wifi hotspot. I've seen a few on the forum say the same.

I've just checked my box and it is there under Settings > Setup > Network > Advanced settings.

Note you need to do this on the main Sky Q box not a minibox

Yes I found it on the main box last night as I'd been checking the mini's
