I have been using Sky BB with Asus RT-AX86U perfectly well for the past few months. Using
Yesterday, it started having problems. No config changes have been made on the router. Have done the usual full restart and double-checked all network cables.
The network connection stays up for a few seconds, the I get "connection hang up" on the system log.
This is info from the router system log

and it loops around and around like this. A new local IP is assigned, increasing the 4th octet by 1 each time
I rechecked all the settings
- WAN Connection type: PPPoE
- Username: anything@skydsl
- Password: anything
- MTU: 1492
- VLAN ID 10
Also upgraded the router firmware (now it's 3.0.0.4.388_24243-g3b611ea)
Anyone else using a Asus router seeing this?
I have reverted to the old sky hub and everything seems to be working as expected

It seems the "Extend the TTL value" is required to be set to "Yes"

I also started experiencing these exact symptomps this morning with my ZenWiFi XT9.
Setting "Extend the TTL value" to Yes did NOT work for me.
What worked was setting "Enable VPN + DHCP Connection" to No. This fixed the connection issue.
I confirmed this was the issue by setting "Enable VPN + DHCP Connection" back to Yes afterwards, and the connection issues came back...no idea why all of a sudden this is an issue.
