Since fibre optic installed WiFi keeps dropping out

Had fibre optic installed Friday 26th Sept since then keep constantly losing Internet coverage Two amber lights on hub. Wasn't an issue before. Alright for an hour maybe 4 hours but then it goes off and won't return till I turn power off reboot it very frustrating as I had a good reception before and regret changing now. Engineer said give it 2 weeks but I thought he was referring to full speed levels. Hopefully it will clear up only glad I have a back up WiFi which is reliable

@Gilh401 When you have the two amber lights on the sky hub can you please take a look at what the lights are like on the newly installed ONT that OR fitted for the fibre connection.

 

Not knowing which one you have installed have linked the both most common ones if they are indeed OR Openreach, if you have CF CityFibre installed then it will not be one these two!

on the newly installed ONT I have 3 green lights and these appear to be stable, the power, PAN and LAN, the LOS one isn't lit up, on the routher it's the internet and voice lights that are amber

@Gilh401 Is it any off the two pictures that you can see if they are available to you to view, The Power and Pon you want to be solid Green all off the time, the Lan will flash as the hub is sending data back and forth so it has a varying intensity to that LED as you look at it.

 

When the Internet light goes unlit or amber then there is an Internet problem to sky, and voice amber there is no valid landline connection.

Did not see that at all with my SR203 Black Sky Broadband Hub although i did only keep it on the connection for a few months when i returned to sky, have used that hub extensivly though since it came out in 2019, but during it's time on the connection it did record 2 wan drops and those could have been anything but was well into the 8 week test so missed them as was not keeping the close eye on it as got very confident it was all working well.

Wan drops are recorded in the logs but really you should not be seeing that in the cycle you have! going to send you a PM so it will be click on the envelope to see it.

That's useful info thanks, it's the bottom of the two. Do actually lose the landline too when the internet goes on the router. I suppose I was the same because it had been so reliable got used to it not going down, It'll return if I turn it off but only last a few hours just find it strange.
