Since January my wifi service is intermitten. I heard it is because the sky equipment is out of date

Since January 2024 my wifi service is intermittent. I have not been told why this is happening. They can see the service is intermittent, cannot say why or when it started. I very much doubt is true. Does anyone else in Dublin have this issue?

@Cathal5 have you raised this with Sky if so what did they say?

Not sure about your comment on "out of date' equipment the standard Sky hubs are a few years old and dont support all the latest standards but neither do the routers supplied free with other ISPs but they all still work properly. As it happens Sky have a new hub in the Wifi Max bundle which supports both wifi6 and WPA3 which are pretty up to date  it is pointless adopting new standards until devices come to market that can use the new facilities.

If you would like advice from forum members on what your issue maybe please post your Sky hubs stats see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics
