Significant drop off between upstairs and downstairs
I've noticed on my upstairs computer my internet speed is quite low - I should get around 350mbps.
When I'm on a laptop downstairs (it's a small 2 bed semi) I'm pulling full speed. When I'm upstairs on my PC, I pull around 60-90mbps (I'd say direct connection is no more than 10m and likely closer to 5). I've used a number of different wifi adapters, my current one having capacity to pull up to 400mbps on 2.4G or 866mbps on 5G but all adapters have had higher ability than 350mbps.
Why would the drop off be so big between such a small distance? I didn't have that issue with a Virgin router, so it's stumped me a little. I've posted my hub stats below.

Re: Significant drop off between upstairs and downstairs
@Ryangriffs01 the stats tell us very little with full fibre connections.
Speed drop between floors is almost inevitable as WiFi signals lose power whenever they pass through a solid object and WiFi routers have aerials designed to maximise coverage horizontally. First thing to check is nothing is unnecessarily blocking the signal from the hub so make sure it is out in the open and on a surface above obstructions. If your 2 bed home is an older property with solid internal walls these can be as difficult to network as a very large modern property. However your current Sky Broadband Hub ihas comparable performance to your older Virgin hub.
You could try using a useful app called WiFi sweetspots that measures the speed of the WiFi connection between the devicecand the hub as you move round your home as speeds can vary greatly in the same room.
