Signal constantly lost... but test says its all good!!

4th n8ght in a row now, signal is lost, but when testing- its supposedly all ok and i am connected???!!!! Last weekend, from mid day Fri to the Monday lunch time- we had no signal and Openreach had to sort something out in the box up the road! All our neighbours had wifi though? Ok. Dealt with not being able to put my Sky Glass on the entire weekend. But then 48hrs later, Wed night 22.01.25 till now, Friday night, the signal has dropped every night at around 2 am,! Odd. So x4 nights in a row now. Ran the test tonight because i am now annoyed- all supposedly connected and good. Obviously that's not quite accurate. I can rule out that the storm that hit today had no bearing on whats happened prior. And today, we didnt get that much of the storm earlier today anyway here in Oldham, Greater Manchester, plus it was working from when i got into work till approx 15min ago. Anyone know what it could be?

If it's happening at those times it's possibly maintenance related. This is done overnight to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep. If it's not back up by the time the phone lines reopen call Sky to report it. Be aware through the lines will still be busy in the aftermath of Storm Eowyn.

Thank you for your input, this crossed my mind an hour later, as its pretty much bang on the exact times.

  • And i tried to get back on, about 30 min after that. And it was back up. So yes, dont think i will wait in any que for Sky today, unnecessarily. I think we've nailed the problem. Thanks for helping clarify. Have a great weekend.
