@me0879

If what @jamesn123 has stated is correct, then you need to modify the home assistant on the RPi to use port HTTPS (port 443) and do a direct mapping.

Zen internet on FTTP (900Mbps down, 100Mbps up). SAT> IP (Apple 4K 2nd gen TV to LG C1 OLED UHD TV/Dolby Atmos Denon AVR, DacMagic Plus for Hi-Res audio), hosting own blog/forum (cluster), OPNsense & Zenarmor L4/L7 NGFW & DPI IDS/IPS, Asus ET12 Pro Tri-Band wifi, Linux, Gamer: Xbox Series X/i7 laptop, round-robin DNS over HTTPS, non-proprietary VoIP HD AMR-WB (G.722.2) and more... Thanks guys. @jamesn123 you have confirmed my suspicions (unfortunately)

Feature request port translation on all Sky routers, software engineer responsibility. 😎

Re: Feature request port translation on all Sky routers, software engineer responsibility.

@Snigehere

I escalated a feature that requires port translation to be added to the Sky routers, the other matter on the other thread is really a feature request as well but getting that one through is a little more difficult to escalate, but it is under discussion.

So, we now have to wait for this feature port translation and likely the other to be addressed in a firmware update 😉

Re: Setting port forwarding for home assistant on port 8123

I have a very similar issue and can't believe port translation isn't implemented by Sky on this router. Any update since this was raised 17 months ago please? My firmware is 7.02.0201R

Or is there a hidden menu that can be accessed to achieve this?

Failing that, any recommendations for replacing the SR203 with something more configurable would be much appreciated. My (new) connection is via ONT (FTTP).

Thanks and apologies for the necro post.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Tele the standard Sky hubs locked down by design to minimise support costs and there has been no change in the last few months so the information in the thread still applies. If you require more flexibility you can use a third party router but you will lose the voice line Sky provides if you do.

For full fibre services in the UK Asus routers are rrelatively easy to configure with many forum threads explaining the settings required. Other manufacturers routers can be used but check that the model you choose supports authentication using DHCPv4 Option 61 over the WAN interface which rules out TP-Link units at the moment. There is an alternative DHCP v6 PD authentication which works on most but not all UK lines.

Sky wont support any third party kit so you need to keep the Sky hub to hand if you get a line issue. Forum members can often answer specific questions.
