Separate wifi for kids to sign into

Hi, we had some cyber training from the police last week. They told us that you can have a separate wifi to select that looks like the real one that your kids can use to sign in. This will enable us to set age restrictions for them without the rest of the family suffering. Does anyone know if sky does it?

As usual, such advice isn't entirely correct.

Sky Parental Controls, such as they are, can be found in the new WiFi Max product, but these are time restrictions, not filtering.

Having a separate SSID with different filtering is certainly possible, but typically not for broadband from a domestic ISP: it requires more sophisticated hardware than they supply.
