Samsung TV wont connect to white hub

I've been with sky broadband for years but habe just received a white sky hub. Every single device in the house has connected except my Samsung tv.

It sees the network but won't connect to it.

I've spoken to Samsung support and got through all possible steps with them. They have advised speaking to sky to see if there is a setting or something that needs to be done with the hub.

The TV was made in 2020 do isn't exactly old

Re: Samsung TV wont connect to white hub

From what I have found , changing security level to WPA2 could help. But would that kick off all my other devices and I would have to reconnect them all?

Re: Samsung TV wont connect to white hub

Yes it does. I tried that. The Samsung I have is only a 32in in my garage, so I'll just get another TV. All other TVs connect ok. Shouldn't have to do that, but just entered into a 2 year contract for the Max Hub. Had no issues with the old hub. 😡

@SeanG3 & @DavidSG for some reason only Samsung can tell you their TVs wont connect to the default WiFi security level of WPA3-T the white Sky hub and most newer routers offer. WPA3-T is a international security standard designed to allow devices to connect which support the full WPA3 security standard and older devices only able to use WPA2 - the T is for transitional.

To connect your Samsung TV and a few other devices you need to set the Sky Max hub only to offer WPA2 security slightly weakening the security of any newer devices you have that  support WPA3. Given WPA3 is backwards compatable to WPA2 all devices should still connect. The only issue maybe security warnings from newer devices like iPhones saying wifi security is weak which you will have to ignore.

WPA2 is dtill considered secure for domestic networks.
