@Anonymous Sky collecting the daily data of router condition happens once per day, nothing to worry about

@Anonymous battery devices like your UPS have a limited life. There are many million SR203 units in use and while you may have had one dodgy unit but to have had 2 is statistically very unlikely.

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

Ups removed and back on sky power brick. 48 hours of no dropouts but it just rebooted 5 min ago 🙂

Forgit about a powerljne used to Office so this is niw witched off. What would cause router to reboot by any cat 5 device????

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

How many devices should the router be able to support NOT using ifs own WiFi?   Could to many devices on cat 5 cause the router to crash / reboot ?

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

@Anonymous Are you sure it completely rebooted by looking at the logs, you can have a wan line drop which is different. Firmware download causes similar symptoms as it reboots router to update, reboots always puts time back to zero as you have witnessed. You have yet to post your router stats so we can look at them, how did the switch change work? Although you may have eliminated the ups, are you sure mains did not dip, have you done the run test on the ups, would give idea off condition of the batteries with time it takes to keep router up etc.

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

Ups by passed. Everytime the Internet drops,I can usual5gef to the router straight away and see only the red light on it, all other lights out. The ONT lights stay green.......

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

Would a wan dropout cause the power light to go red ? Just unplugged wan from ont and power stays green but Internet turned red?

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

@Anonymous if you look back to post 11 we asked you to detail your system etc, the router I believe is around 32 devices, and anything could be possible for a router reboot, it maybe possible that you have got 2bad routers, did you keep looking and grab the logs as requested, when there is an intermittent fault all info is good, As I said in previous post somethings do cause reboots, Its always difficult but you may have to take some steps to eliminate items, we are here to help as much as we can.

Re: SR203 random resets and lots of UNKNOWN devices

Hi, so I have the sky router, wifi now turned off, tp link EAP670 access point connected via ethernet. TP Link switch with Hive, Ikea hub, printer, Netgear network drive and samsung tv all connected via switch. All other devices connected via access point on wifi. two SSIDs one for computers etc one for all IoT type devices.

ONT lights always green. When internet drops as soon as I can get to router always see red power light. logs always show time resets too. Been in house 9 months, fibre to property, house built 2019. No obvious device additions relating to reboots. I assume it would have to be a ethernet device that 'may' cause router to reboot ???

Had ups connected but deleted currently. Netgear NAS hard drive connected to same AC source and this never reboots or shows power loss.

Logas always show time loss and WAN and LAN up times as reset also.
