Hi. SKY support suggested I ask my question here... SONOS dropping on SKY wifi. I have 5 SONOS speakers around the home and all connected using wifi to my SKY Broadband Hub which was new August 2022. I also have 1 x Booster 4 which SKY themselves installed.
I have Sky Broadband Superfast but it is not fibre to the home. My average speed is 45 MBPS.
For over 12 months, the SONOS speakers will randomly drop but its mainly noticeable on the kitchen speakers (Play 5 2nd Generation) which happen to be nearest the router; located in the lounge.
SONOS support have been great but they conclude that my wifi network is not good enough and I should install a MESH system (hard wiring them is not practical). They also advise that I do not use the Booster 4 because it is not an access point. SONOS claim the extender is a bad choice to use with SONOS (or anything for that matter) so I have unplugged it.
SONOS have concluded all their setting changes. Has anyone experienced this and resolved the matter using a MESH or access point?
All help appreciated, thank you.

Thank you for your help. The 2.4 Ghz and 5GHz settings are synchronised in the actual SKY router setup and are both named the same. Do you mean to name them differently and deselect the synchronise, then connect SONOS to the 5GHz setting only? SONOS want me to install a MESH but I do not know how this is done

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYeah un-synchronise them, give them different names and connect the speakers to a certain band.
When they say install a mesh they mean just buy a 3rd party mesh system e.g. Orbi.

I have factory reset every speaker. Deleted the SONOS App. Desynchronised the 2.4 and 5 GHz router, renamed them and set a new password for the 5 GHz. Installed the SONOS app and setup SONOS as a new system connected to the 5 GHz network. See how it goes. SONOS have been watching this post. Thank you

Where did you get to with this please?
I am having a very similar issue where I have Sky Q with 2 x SE210 Sky Wi-fi boosters in my house. I had a SONOS One speaker (worked fine), then bought 2 x SONOS Roams and started having problems with SONOS dropping out. This was only fixed when the Roam speakers were near my hub. Anywhere else in my house they'd drop out and I thought maybe if i hard wire my 2 x Sky Wifi boosters to the hub with CAT 5 ethernet cables, this might resolve the issue. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Hello. I stopped syncing the 2.4 and 5GHz within the router settings then renamed both. I then factory reset all speaker. Deleted the apps and setup as a new system on the 5GHz frequency. Only my phone and MAC are connected to the 5GHz frequency. So far, so good. Ps I have 1 SKY booster box which I'm not entirely sure adds any value
