SKY wifi router login.

Just had an outtage on my wifi and the router was not connecting to the internet  nor was the router  producing a  WiFi signal - that in itself is unusual as when we have internet outtages in the past we have still had a WiFi signal from the router but no internet connection. Usually simply fixed by turning off the route, counting 20 seconds and then turning it back on.

This time that didn't work and I suspected a more complicated problem.
So turned off the router for a few minutes this time and everything came back to life - Router showed up with WiFi and a solid internet connection.
Thought I'd check the router Log for any signs of a problem.

To access the router you apparently are supposed to type in
https://192.168.0.1/

but doing that wouldn't work - got an error message "can't connect to the server'
So I then tried http://192.168.0.1/

(Note http instead of https)

And this DID work.
All advice I see assures me that this is not correct and it shouldn't work.

Any network wizards out there who can offer a hint guidance suggestion solution /

@Effers the internal address forvthecweb interface for Sky hubs is 192.168.0.1 simple as that. The web interface does not use https as it is  an internal network address and is therefore not a risk despite what some browsers and security software may warn.

For lost connections you are best looking at the leds on the hub as they arecdiagnostic see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start
