Rubbish Broadband connection service

I should have had my new sky broadband in July and im still waiting The service between Sky and BT Openreach has been shambolic to say the least ive had 8 visits by Sky and BT Openreach engineers and its still not up and running both Sky and BT Openreach are INCOMPETENT I have had a text message from Sky to tell me they will text me when the service is up and running today I bet it isn't and the only text I will get will be "Unfortunately we have been u able to connect your service "😡😡😡

True enough the engineer has come out for the 9th time and still unable to set up the fibre 500

They just dont know ow what they're doing 

Apparently this engineer has no notes from the previous 8 visits 🤣😂🤣😂

@Studdley21 Did the OR Engineer not say to you what the issue was with the Fibre connection from your point to the Exchange?

He has today yes on the 9th visit 

Apparently there's no duct 

They did not give an explanation on previous visits 

Other than a generic text message to book another appointment 

That's more lost time from work for me as on previous other visits 

Also Sky give out false information saying that I dong need to be in yet BT Openreach say someone over 18 has to bd present for the work to go ahead

@Studdley21 The 1st visit would have been good enough to establish that there was no duct, the duct was blocked or whatever reason that the Fibre cable was not able to be run to the CBT point. After that then plan would have been how do we do that and that is all down to OR to make the connection, nothing to do with sky! The on connection day 18year old is always advisable, even all the pre-planned can go wrong, sky link to the OR on the day does explain it all!

If there was an alternative better provider I would cancel in a heartbeat but unfortunately Virgin and other cowboy providers aren't any better the customer service is diabolical and the service is rubbish and they've got the nerve to put the price up every 6 months

They can't even connect a service on the 9th time of trying pathetic

Sky use these clowns from OR so Sky are responsible for using such an incompetent 3rd party to carry out the work for them 

Im not a OR customer im a Sky customer or I am at the moment

@Studdley21 As I'm sure someone more knowledgable than me will point out shortly Sky do not choose to use OR, they have a virtual monopoly on cabling from the exchange to your property. Sky therefore have little choice other than to use OR

@Studdley21 Really not much more a customer like yourself on the Forum can say, you have covered all the basis and it's not going to happen for you. Neighbour across from me ordered Sep2024 and got installed June 2025 finally with the phone landline all messed up for another month after that point, what can one say, smooth it did not go!

Im so sorry to vent my frustration on here

Im just so angry with everything that's gone on 

I've had no phone calls explaining what's going on and talking to virtual assistance just makes matters worse or messages that I cannot reply too is just so frustrating
