Re: Routers Compatible With Sky FTTP Broadband (Option 61 DHCP Capability) [UK Based]

I'm hoping that it's okay to reply to this thread as I have the same issue and I want to be able to swap out my Skymax hub for a compliant router that will work out of the box or with a mesh extender if the coverage provided by this router isn't sufficient. I'm looking at the ASUS RT-AX52 Pro AX3000 Dual Band WiFi 6 Router . Is this compatible with Sky broadband fed via Openreach fibre connection?

@DaveStanley1 Should be fine, and you may just not need the Option 61 so do not get focused on that to start with. Allow the Asus app to set the Router up when you have it connected! I have a few Asus pics out on the Forum if you need to look at them! See this link below!

@jamesn123 gave the answer I needed RE Asus (see the marked answer for this thread). Essentially if the router is less than a couple of years old (I.e in terms of release) or has a firmware update less than a few years old, then it should be supported as standard. I went with the  RT-AX89X in the end and it worked flawlessly out of the box!
