Re: Router won't connect to Samsung TV

Unfortunately no fix for me either.

I have to connect to my mobile hotspot to be able to use my Smart TV.

No help from SKY. I guess I'll have to put up with this for the next 2 years!!

Re: Router won't connect to Samsung TV

I did try again when I got in today and it did connect to sky wifi the usual way with the password. No idea why. Guess I'll see tomo if it remains connected! My advice is persevere with trying as it may work one day!

That's good to know.

Thank you so much for your input.

  • Much appreciated.

Router will not connect to my Samsung smart TV. I've reset the router and the TV. Switched them off and back on again - nothing! TV will only connect via WPS pin, but only briefly, then has to be reconnected again. All other devices will connect to router, but not the TV. TV will connect to other WIFI networks, just not the one I'm paying a fortune for!!

Re: Router won't connect to Samsung TV

Update. I changed the security setting to WPA2 rather than the default 3 and it worked!!

My Sky app

Broadband

WiFi settings

Advanced settings

WiFi security level

Change to WPA2.

Re: Router won't connect to Samsung TV

I'm also having this issue - it's starting to grind my gears! The only way I can connect is WPS, and I have to do this every time I turn on the TV. Also having issues with the Wi-fi connecting to my Nest Smart Cameras - I have tried changing the security settings, DHCP etc to no avail.

Any helpful suggestions I can try?

Re: Router won't connect to Samsung TV

Mine does stay connected now. Randomly just stayed connected one day. Keep the security setting lower and keep connecting manually daily. Hopefully yours will stay connected indefinitely one day as well!
