I have replacement router sky sent me out, can I just swap them or do I need to talk to sky while I'm doing it?
I keep trying to talk to them but it's like, they have a preset sheet they have to follow on all queries and there is a massive language barrier so no matter how many times I tell them what I want they don't understand and go back to their general questions. The person I talked to today kept calling miss Jean even though that's not my name and I had provided my name which is on the account....

What was the reason for the new router? To replace a faulty one or did you upgrade your package.
You do not need to speak to any one at sky to install the new router

Replacement was because we are having a lot of issues with dropping Wi-Fi, it's goes slow for like 5 minutes and then goes back up. Disconnected today completely, no reason, all the lights still on but nothing connected to it, my sky tv is still off and won't connect back, this happened before, we went through everything and checked and no issues with line ect so said we'd try a new router.

Usually the first stage to rule out the router as being the fault. So just plug in the same way as before
