Router keeps dropping out and sky remote has gone dead

Help please sky router/ keeps dropping out the central light either disappears or flashes amber. 

Also my sky remote on one of my q mini box has stopped working even changing the batteries anything I can do please

After checking the basics, ie; fresh batteries, re-pairing etc if your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (there is the possibility this is not available to customers in the ROI).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.

In the meantime if you have an Apple device with Sky Go you can possibly set up a virtual remote to control your Sky Q box. See this link which may help

If your line is dropping its likely you need an engineer. What does the line test in the My Sky app say?

Sometimes it says that it's okay other times it tells me to check the connection to the socket.

It says the broadband itself is working fine and then it is the connection from the socket to the hub. 

I personally think it is an issue with the hub is that the likely issue.
