Router control .

Is there anything I can do or get to turn off certain devices to stop a child access the internet.

@windscale+man Sky used to offer a parental control app thst could do that but they have stopped new customers from installing the Sky Broadband Buddy. Sky claim it will be replaced but we have seen nothing in the past 6 months and at guess it will be mid 2023 before that is around.

 

In theory you can block a kids device by programming a rule on the hub to prevent access by a specific IP address for certain hours. It might stop an 8 year old but any determined kid at secondary school will work out how to get round that in a few hours.

There isn't anything really on the Hub that you can easily do. You may wish to explore next dns - it will need to be installed on each device, you can control all from your own though. Not a perfect solution, something that may help.
