Router USB-C Power Supply Failed!

Hi guys,

This afternoon 3rd August 2025 my SKY Essentials BB went down! On investigating I noticed the router wasn't powered on! I swapped out the USB PSU and the router powered up. Swapped back to the one supplied by SKY and nothing! Also tried powering other equipment from the SKY PSU and nothing!

Rang SKY support and they are sending me the complete package - router and all!!

As I only require a replacement PSU, will I be charged for the lot? THe failed USB-C supply is only 4 weeks old!

Thanks

@StitchUp  You post has been moved from the Sky Stream board as your query has nothing to do with Sky Stream TV service.

Sky don't send out spare parts they always replace the hub.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Router USB-C Power Supply Failed!

You won't be charged for the replacement box as the equipment remains Sky's property but you will have to return the old hub and power supply

when you connect the new hub via the app it should automatically change the ssid and password to match the old details stored in the app but if not you can keep the old hub and return the new box with the old power supply

@mormegil Is it best for the OP to use the everything new option with regards to having serial numbers matching account wise etc...
