Replace Sky Router with my own router

Hi all just moved to Sky Broadband FTTP from BT and I want to replace there router with my own a Netgear Nighthawk Rax20.

I have a BT open reach modem with the sky router currently connected to that. Can I just swap the router out? What configuration details will I need for Sky FTTP?

Re: Replace Sky Router with my own router

Hi, the router needs to support a manual setting called DHCP Option 61.

Unfortunatly, from a quick google, it looks like your router isnt supported...

Which NETGEAR routers support DHCP option 60 and 61? | Answer | NETGEAR Support

Im not sure if that is up to date, but if you can find the dhcp option 61, the details are here...
