Question for people who have succesfully swapped out the white Hub6 (Hardware Revision:HUB6 v1 - Model:SR213), with an Asus GT-AXE11000. (or for people who have a good understanding of ADSL authentication)
I live in Scotland and the white Hub provided by Sky, does not have a good WIFI signal across the property. I am therefore wanting to set up a Mesh. But rather than having a WIFI Mesh that will bridge into a LAN port of the Sky Hub, I am wanting to do away with the Sky Hub altogether and install an ASUS GT-AXE11000, which would act as the modem (Our service is 50mbps ADSL2+, twisted copper to the cabinet and then FTTC)
I have had a look on the discussion board and could not find a thread specifically relating to this ModemRouter model, though a few posts mention that Asus should support the necessary Authenticaion over this Link. (posts mentioning the Asus RT-AC86u and the Client Identifier, but that one is for Fibre ONT with VLAN?)
TLDR: can the Asus GT-AXE11000 be used as the only Modem on a Scottish Sky ADSL provision?
thank you in advance

@Hopeful1 If you wish to do away with the SR213 sky Hub and go direct then you need to buy a Asus that has a DSL modem interface on it!

Re: Remove/Replace HUB6 SR213 with ASUS GT-AXE11000
@Hopeful1 If you are going to be lucky to get a FF suplied feed in the future then at least you will have some Asus experience, the AX you quoted is way up there in speed and ability, but you do not need it all currently. 100% Asus user myself so if you have any questions just fire away, glad to help a fellow scotsman!

Re: Remove/Replace HUB6 SR213 with ASUS GT-AXE11000
Thanks @JimM1 for your reply and support
I wouldn't need it, if all my LAN traffic, was used solely for/by Internet traffic. Yes I would agree with that statement.
But I have several machines at home and regularly move gigs between servers, the kids have Steam games that copy from machine to machine, hence why I was looking at the AXE bandwidth. (And looking at future proofing things a little)

Re: Remove/Replace HUB6 SR213 with ASUS GT-AXE11000
@Hopeful1 With you so Internet is secondary requirement, I would wan to lan from Asus to SR and set the Asus in complete router mode, allow the SR to do the connection and supply the Authentication to the Internet. Although you will have Double Nat the Asus will work fine, you may have a printing problem if used but set that up via the Asus connection!
