Red light on Sky hub but plugged in before activation date

Hi there, we received our Sky broadband hub today and I believe I have connected it to the ONT ok. When I switch the power on it has a solid red light in the centre of the hub - our activation date is not for a few days - could this be the reason? I am just concerned that if it isn't that then there might be an issue with the ONT connection. I couldn't locate a physical box on the inside of our house, but there is an ethernet cable coming out of the wall on the first floor, just up from where the Openreach box is located on the exterior wall, so I'm assuming that's it! Can't seem to find any verification of this anywhere on the web or in our house docs - we live in a new-ish build townhouse with 3 floors.

If anyone has had a similar experience, I would love to get your advice. Thanks.

Which LEDs are lit on the ONT?

You won't get a full set of lights on an ISP router prior to the activation date.

Hi @TimmyBGood , I couldn't locate the ONT box so I'm not sure if or what lights are on unfortunately - there is just an ethernet cable coming out of the wall near to wear the box is located outside.

OK: something amiss there.  An ONT is a mains powered device always found indoors: it's absolutely not weatherproof.  An external enclosure associated with FTTP is the Customer Service Point, which is a passive plastic box protecting a splice in the optical cable: A CSP itself wouldn't have an ethernet connection in any FTTP deployment I'm aware of.
