Recurring fibre broadband issue : losing the DHCP allocation
Getting very fed up of a recurring fibre broadband issue, seems to be and issue with the sky equipt as the small BT box on the wall is fine.
I have to force reboot the sky broadband router all to often
Log file (from memory) is having problems renewing the DHCP lease.
1) can I use another router other than this sky thing that keeps failing
2) what should I look at for in the "Recent Activity Logs" in the support page on the router?

Re: Recurring fibre broadband issue : losing the DHCP allocation
@Annoyed1024 you can use a third party router if you want but be careful which one you choose as not all can connect to a Sky line, Asus models seem popular. However as the IP address is assigned from Sky's end changing the router may not make any difference. Powering down the Sky hub for an hour might help,as thst can bump, you onto a different connection which should work properly.
