Received a letter from Sky informing me a new customer will start an account on an upcoming date

I am moving house soon and contacted Sky to set up the move, all good and straightforward.

Unfortunately the move date changed and I contacted Sky to cancel the move date, again all good and received an email confirming this.

A few days later I received a letter informing me a Sky customer is taking over a Sky account in my current property on 20th February. This is not true because we know the buyers and they are not Sky customers.

I suspect this is a scam and the phone number is 03488 244 030 and possibly linked to Vodafone.

Any help would be appreciatted as I dont intend to ring the numbers provided.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

If the letter was from Sky then it is unlikely to be a scam one, I wonder if you cancelling the home move has some how triggered this letter in error, have you spoken to Sky since receiving it ?

No I haven't spoken to anyone yet but I will contact the moving house team and see what they say.

Thanks
