RTE Player - Sky Broadband
I tried to watch several programmes on RTE Player (web and app) in IRELAND. No problem with RTE content (but Eastenders won't play and they have the rights to that) but no box sets work. On Sky Broadband they will not load and it says there is a rights issue. I logged into my VM Broadband (as I have both at the moment) and it works on that platform. Does the Player think I am trying to access from the UK? Would appreciate some feedback.

Re: RTE Player - Sky Broadband
This is deffo a universal issue within Ireland, I can't even play local radio channels on my Google speaker via Tune in!!
I've checked my IP and it's coming up as Dublin, so I can't understand why lots of Sky broadband customers within Ireland are having this issue?

Re: RTE Player - Sky Broadband
An update. I engaged directly with RTE. They asked if I was using Proxy settings (I wasn't) and two days later it now works. They have not replied to explain what they might have done. I also included this issue in a formal complaint to Sky. They have yet to respond (if you miss their call) it seems to be on you, despite saying when you are and are not free. Related to this was my concern over the 26-second channel change. Again, with no explantion, but after my complaint to Sky the channel change is down to a bearable 2.76 seconds. Hope this helps.
