Power the sky max hub over poe
Would it be possible to power the sky max hub over Poe using a Poe splitter connected from a Poe switch?

PoE requires the ethernet port(s) on the client device to support inbound power: that's an extra manufacturing cost which ISPs are unwilling to incur given the overwhelming majority of subscribers won't use it.
It's not entirely impossible to extract PoE from the RJ45 plug and reintroduce it on a dedicated power jack, but this wouldn't be advisable on loaned hardware.
