Port my landline number to a new company, but keep my broadband with sky?

Hi all, as the topic says, can Sky port my landline number to a new company, but keep my broadband with sky?

We are currently on a new contract (since Feb 2025) with Sky Broadband "Full Fibre 500". We have the white Sky Wifi Max router. And we have "Sky talk anytime extra". I want to change the phone line to another company but keep broadband with Sky. I don't mind breaking my Sky Talk contract and paying the penalty or just keep paying for it. However, it is ESSENTIAL that we keep our existing phone number.

So my question is, can my existing number be ported to the new company, but leave broadband and Talk with Sky (i.e. assign a new number to sky talk)?

I've been told that this is impossible, but I am hoping someone out there might be able to tell me otherwise. I really do not want to cancel my Sky Broadband and Talk contract, which is what I will have to do if I cannot resolve this.

Many thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Manchester+Born  No this is not possible porting the number will cancel your sky contract which will incur early termination charges if in contract
