"Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever."
It's really not. Easier is having it right there on your router where it is meant to be. I'm trying to forward ports to my desktop and I can't seem to find it. If you click wireless and then advanced, port forwarding is there, but It only lists a few wireless devices and not the desktop. There is absolutely no 'let me tell you what IP to port forward to' option. I'm glad I kept my TP link from my last provider, because I'm about to fire this thing out the window.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@crossmr assume you are talking about setting up port forwarding on the white Sky Max hub using the app. The device list should include devices connected by ethernet but if your desktop is not showing (check first that it is not listed under the name of the network card) try disconnecting the desktop and refreshing the app. Once the device is selected the IP port or range options are on the next page.
If you have a Sky FTTC connection and. are using TP-Link modem router you can use that. However unfortunately TP-Link routers do not connect easily to Sky full fibre services as they dont offer DHCPv4 Option 61.

The device is connected and listed under connected, but not under the device list.
Refreshing it for the nth time, it's now appeared. Let's see if it actually works though. I know there are about 2x as many things connected as it shows on the list of available devices.

It let me add the rule, but it doesn't seem to work though. Ran a port checker and it says the ports are closed.

@crossmr Port checkers will only flag if a response is returned from the configured client.
No active runing service on the port, or if the service chooses not to respond to the probe,
both will show as the port is still closed.
Trying to access the required resources with the correct configuration / client will hopefully gain you access.
Edit: remember to punch a hole thru yr desktop firewall if also needed.
