Poor wi-fi with new max hub

I've just upgraded my package and have had the max hub - the problem is that I no longer have sufficient wi-fi signal strength upstairs to run a ps 5 - worked great on the old hub (which I have sent back ☹️).

Any suggestions?

I've already got 2 mini boxes, one is directly below where im trying to get the signal upstairs.

With a Max Hub in place, the Mini boxes will no longer be wireless hotspots by default.

I believe it's possible to manually activate them as if they were on non-Sky broadband.
