Hi,
I have sky wifi max & full fibre 100 but I'm getting poor speed generally & poor signal strength in certain parts of the house too. The system checker says I've gone below the min guarantee speed for more than 3 days in a row so I'm eligible for a refund or to cancel.
What I'd really like is something to fix it rather than money back. I've tried a tp link extender & this has helped a bit in that location but not so much the rest of the house.
Can someone tell me my best options with sky before I call?
Thanks 🙂

Are you sure it's full fibre? An optical connection should always be able to deliver the guaranteed minimum speed to the router (or be repaired to do so) : it's not like legacy copper in that respect.

Yes I'm sure. Sky Full Fibre 100

And has Sky formally notified you of an option to cancel early?

Yes they have

I'd say that's rather odd: they should be investigating why the full fibre circuit isn't delivering the speed to the Hub. Standard optical cabling is capable of delivering multi-gigabit when functioning correctly: the speed limit is actually in the ONT hardware.

I've just spoken to sky and they are sending out a wifi max pod to help with the dead-spots and refunding 1 month of the broadband cost as they confirmed it's been below the min guarantee speed for 3 consecutive days. If I continue to have problems then I call again & they'll send an engineer out to check eveything.
Thanks anyway
