Poor signal strength around house

My broadband hub was in a cupboard in the hall downstairs so wasn't performing its best. Sky provided a booster, that seemed to help slightly. Recently I've noticed the booster making noises so I decided to move the hub out of the cupboard and into an open space. This has made the signal better downstairs but upstairs the signal is now worse whether the booster is on or off.

do I need an extra booster?

@TarranM  If the booster has gone faulty or you need another booster you will need to speak with Sky at the contact centre to see about getting a  further booster or replacement for the one you have already.

If someone has helped give them Like.

Re: Poor signal strength around house

Thank you. Appointment with sky booked for next week where they said they'll be able to provide up to 3 boosters and replace the faulty one.
