My Wi-Fi is so poor! I have had countless issues with my Wi-Fi ever since they have changed the hub, yet when I speak to sky everything is always fine yet I always have to call for them to resolve issues. Service drops out, second box always lose connection, can’t get Wi-Fi in all rooms, told to buy a booster which I did and this eventually stops working and have to unplug and start again with the connection to main Wi-Fi box.
Pay a premium for a second-rate service. Fed up of constantly having to ring up. Been told devices are broken over the phone and I needed a visit from sky to resolve yet when sky technician arrives, he moves things about changes wires and says everything is ok and nothing is broken and needs replacing. Things work for a while then I’m back to the same position.
Netflix, Disney and Amazon buffer when watched on second box usually around 9PM at night for some strange reason! Apps accessed and watched through the sky box.
Second box has issues staying connected to main box and takes an age to reconnect have a booster in the house which a sky technician set up and said this is the best place for it yet doesn’t seem to do anything.
I have a series of smart plugs (3), when checking signal of these plugs, they have a poor connection and 2 are in the same room as the router. Changed the channel to make sure on 2.4, reset the box and still the same. Third plug is directly above the route in a bedroom. Now will no connect at all but will connect downstairs.
Have a laptop that says no connection to Wi-Fi. (home worker) Laptop still connects occasionally yet really struggles with teams when in meetings.
Sky service checker says I don’t have a stable connection and I have 72.3 Mb/s to my router.
Having sky internet is like a full time job and how often I have to manage an issue and contact them for rectifying an issue.

Did you purchase your own booster, or subscribe to Broadband Boost?
Without a Boost subscription the support which Sky will offer for WiFi is distinctly limited, as is typical for ISPs.

Sky’s own booster. Sky offer support on it. No subscription required. Why would you have to subscribe to a booster if I already pay for a Wi-Fi service?

A broadband subscription is for broadband, not WiFi . Sky loans booster hardware to Broadband Boost subscribers: any sold elsewhere aren't legitimate because they should have been returned to Sky.

Still not offering any advice really. The booster is from sky and sent out by sky and has sky logo on it, so yes legitimate. Broadband/ wifi still the internet and that is the issue.

It's very unusual for Sky to sell a booster unit outright, and it kind of breaks their support model.

No, broadband is not WiFi. An ISP contracts to deliver broadband bandwidth to their router: WiFi beyond the router is not guaranteed (no matter what product names may suggest) and is supported as is reasonable for the price.

Note that what @TimmyBGood said is correct and important. A Sky booster would only be sent in one of the two scenarios;
1. You subscribe to WiFi boost & requested one to cover the 'WiFi in every room' guarantee
2. A Sky Q engineer attended your property and decided a booster was required to fix a fault.
Can you explain how you obtained the booster and which type of booster it is because this could be part of the problem?
